Most businesses don’t have the problem they think they have.
I’ve never walked into a boardroom where the biggest problem was actually the biggest problem.
- A founder tells me their managers won’t step up
- HR tells me communication needs improving.
- The board thinks accountability is weak.
- The managers say the founder won’t let go.
Everyone in the room is telling the truth, they’re just describing different symptoms.
I can usually tell within a few minutes whether we’re talking about the real problem… or just the easiest one to blame.
Solve the right problem … the business moves faster.
What i see differently
I see potential everywhere, in people, in leadership, in businesses and in the opportunities they’re capable of creating.
But potential means very little on its own.
I’ve seen brilliant businesses slow down because the people leading them had huge potential, but hadn’t grown as quickly as the business itself.
That’s why growing the founder unlocks everything.
- Stronger leaders build stronger teams.
- Stronger teams make faster decisions.
- Better decisions build stronger businesses.
- Stronger businesses become more valuable.
- More valuable businesses give founders more choices.
That’s what I see and the work I do.
Before building Stronger Inside & Out...
I held senior leadership roles inside global organisations.
Led a team of 65 across the UK, responsible for corporate client portfolios worth more than £450 million.
Influenced executive boards.
Developed a leadership strategy across the UK, Europe and Asia.
Today, I bring that experience to founder-led businesses.
WHAT 25 YEARS IN BUSINES HAS TAUGHT ME
Most people measure what’s happening on the outside, they look at what’s easy to measure. But revenue, profit, growth are simply outcomes.
And outcomes are shaped by what’s happening inside. So I look underneath the bonnet, at:
-
The capacity of the Founder
-
The quality of leadership
-
The decisions being made
-
The capability of the people
-
The extent to which the business still depends on the founder
That is why Stronger Inside and Out exists.
The strongest businesses are built from the inside out
Why founders bring me in
I’m discreet and confidential
I don’t arrive with answers.
I arrive with better questions and the insight to know how to find them.
I’m direct.
I won’t let you hide.
I’ll challenge you.
I’ll cheer you on when it’s hard.
I’ll tell you what others won’t.
I’ll listen for what isn’t being said.
I’ll help you see your business differently.
Then we fix the real issues.
I’ll never challenge you for the sake of it, but I won’t ignore the conversation your team and business need you to have either.
I’m far more interested in building a stronger business than protecting anyone’s ego.
If you are ready for that :

SOMETIMES CONVERSATIONS START ON STAGE...
Some founders first meet me in a boardroom, others in a conference hall. The conversation always ends in the same place: A different way of seeing their business.
Whether I’m speaking to 800 founders at a national conference or facilitating a leadership event for an organisation, the objective is the same.
To challenge assumptions. To change the conversation. To help people see their business differently.
Because sometimes one observation changes the way an entire leadership team thinks.
beyond the boardroom
I’m a wife, mum, CrossFitter, nature lover and someone who’s endlessly curious about people.
Alongside my client work, I also lead a national not-for-profit that helps women turn ideas into sustainable businesses.
I believe stronger businesses strengthen families, communities and the wider economy.
And businesses should create better lives, not consume them.
That belief shapes why and how I work.
CURIOUS BUT NOT READY FOR A CONVERSATION?

The Thinking Room is where I share the observations, questions, and patterns I’m seeing inside founder-led businesses.
Not every observation I make ends up on this website. Some I only share with members of The Thinking Room.
No weekly newsletter. Just observations worth reading, when they’re worth sharing.
